STPI Launches FinGlobe CoE in GIFT City to Boost FinTech Innovation

Gandhinagar: Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, inaugurated its 24th Center of Entrepreneurship (CoE) – “FinGlobe” at STPI-Gandhinagar, GIFT City. The launch event was graced by Shri K Rajaraman, Chairperson, International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), and attended by dignitaries including Ms Mona K Khandhar, Principal Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat.

The FinGlobe CoE, developed in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, is dedicated to fostering innovation and growth in the financial technology sector. The CoE, with a focus on FinTech, TechFin, Banking Industry, and allied domains, will offer a collaborative ecosystem, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and expert mentorship to empower startups and entrepreneurs.

During the inauguration, Shri K Rajaraman highlighted the significance of technology platforms and global-scale companies in building trust and facilitating foreign investments. He expressed support for FinGlobe CoE, emphasizing its potential to develop solutions for the global market.

The CoE provides 50 Plug-n-Play incubation seats, aiming to serve as a catalyst for cutting-edge technology development within the financial services domain. Five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged between STPINext Initiatives and its CoE partners, including (n)Code Solutions, CrAdLE (EDII Ahmedabad), Pandit Deendayal Energy University, GVFL Limited, and TiE-Ahmedabad.

Ms Mona K Khandhar highlighted the strategic efforts to position Gujarat as a FinTech hub, deepening the ecosystem further. She announced upcoming initiatives, including a hackathon and the onboarding of startups, showcasing the commitment to leveraging emerging technologies.

Shri Arvind Kumar, Director-General of STPI, stated that the FinTech CoE would provide essential support such as state-of-the-art incubation infrastructure, sandbox environments, industry APIs, payment gateways, mentoring, and industry connections to startups.

The FinGlobe CoE launch marks a significant step toward fostering FinTech innovation and contributing to Gujarat’s emergence as a prominent IT destination. The CoE is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the future of financial technology, supporting startups in developing groundbreaking solutions and influencing the competitive landscape in the financial sector.
