State Govt to Investigate Fatal Ganjam Road Accident; Financial Aid Announced

Bhubaneswar: The State Government has announced a probe into the tragic road accident in Ganjam District that claimed the lives of four individuals and left 12 others injured. The accident occurred at Samarjhole Chhak under the Hinjili Police Station area.

Bibhuti Bhusan Jena, Minister of Commerce and Transport, visited the MKCG Medical College and Hospital to meet with the injured and to ensure they receive the best possible medical care. During his visit, Jena spoke with doctors to facilitate optimal treatment for the injured individuals.

In response to the tragedy, Chief Minister has declared financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs. 1 lakh each to those injured. Jena assured that the government would take all necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

Following his visit to the hospital, Minister Jena inspected the accident site to gain a comprehensive understanding of the incident. He was accompanied by Sri Amitabh Thakur, Transport Commissioner; Sri Dibya Jyoti Parida, Collector of Ganjam; Sub-Collector; and other officers from the Transport Department.
