Social Justice Ministry Tableau Showcases 75 Years of Indian Constitution at Republic Day Rehearsal
New Delhi: A unique blend of art, sculpture, and cultural diversity, the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment’s tableau for Republic Day 2025 captivated the audience during the dress rehearsal on January 23rd at Kartavyapath, New Delhi.
The tableau celebrates 75 years of the Indian Constitution, the guiding force for Justice, Equality, Liberty, and Fraternity. It emphasizes the Constitution’s role in providing a framework for growth and development, lifting millions out of poverty through economic inclusion.
The tableau brings to life the intricate illustrations found within the Constitution itself. Key elements include:
- Zebu Bull: Symbolizing strength and leadership, adopted from Harappan seals.
- Ashoka Pillar: Representing resilience and unity.
- Rotating Chakra: Signifying continuous progress.
Intricately sculpted figures on the sides utilize optical principles, creating the impression of following the audience, spreading the message of unity and brotherhood. The artistry of Nandalal Bose, prominent in the Constitution, is prominently featured on sculpted panels.
A major highlight is a replica of the Constitution itself, with the Preamble displayed prominently. Live visuals of people from diverse walks of life add a dynamic element to the tableau.
