Security Beefed Up for Mahashivratri Celebrations at Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In anticipation of the upcoming Mahashivratri celebrations, the Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar has implemented robust security measures to facilitate the smooth and secure observance of the festival at the revered Lingaraj temple.

As the auspicious occasion draws near, the police force has intensified security preparations to manage the expected large gathering of devotees at the historic temple. The authorities have outlined a comprehensive plan to ensure the safety and orderly conduct of the Mahashivratri festivities.

To oversee the security arrangements, five additional Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), 14 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), 21 Inspectors, 84 Sub-Inspectors/Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 45 Armed Police Reserve (APR) constables, 48 other ranks (OR) police personnel, 93 section force members, and 112 home guards have been strategically positioned.

DCP Prateek Singh Singh will be in charge of supervising the overall security operations during the Mahashivratri celebrations.

The focus of the security deployment is not only on the temple premises but also on managing traffic to facilitate the smooth movement of devotees and general commuters during the festival.

As devotees gather to celebrate Mahashivratri at Lingaraj temple, the Commissionerate Police is committed to ensuring a secure and hassle-free environment for all participants. The security arrangements aim to create a conducive atmosphere for devotees to observe the festival with devotion and enthusiasm.
