Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Suresh Pujari, issued a stern warning on Tuesday, promising immediate and strict action against any proven cases of corruption or bribery within government operations.
“Zero tolerance is our benchmark in this regard,” Minister Pujari declared during an interaction with reporters. He invited suggestions on how to make revenue administration more accessible to the public, emphasizing that even common citizens could directly approach him to report any issues or grievances.
On his first day as Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Pujari made a surprise visit to the Tehsil Office in Bhubaneswar. During his visit, he engaged in discussions with common people, lawyers, and government officials to understand the office’s functioning, the delivery of public services, and the handling of complaints.
The Minister promised to set a clear timeline for the processing of land, residential, and caste certificate applications, ensuring immediate access to these essential services.
“I am committed to ensuring that the common people are not harassed when they visit the tehsil office for various tasks. We will develop a final blueprint to guarantee that all services are delivered efficiently and transparently,” Pujari stated.
