Rajnath Singh to Embark on a Two-Day Diplomatic Visit to London

New Delhi: India’s Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, is set to embark on a significant two-day visit to London, United Kingdom (UK), commencing on January 08, 2024. Accompanied by a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Defence, which includes senior officials from DRDO, Service Headquarters, Department of Defence, and Department of Defence Production, Shri Rajnath Singh’s visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and explore avenues of cooperation.

During his stay in London, the Defence Minister is scheduled to engage in a crucial bilateral meeting with his UK counterpart, Secretary of State for Defence, Mr Grant Shapps. The discussions are anticipated to encompass a wide array of topics, spanning defence, security, and industrial collaboration between the two nations.

Apart from the meeting with Mr Shapps, Shri Rajnath Singh is slated to call on the UK Prime Minister, Mr Rishi Sunak, and engage in discussions with Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Affairs, Mr David Cameron. Additionally, the Defence Minister is scheduled to interact with CEOs and leaders of the UK Defence Industry, fostering opportunities for strategic partnerships. Furthermore, Shri Rajnath Singh will connect with the Indian community residing in the UK during his visit. The diplomatic mission is poised to enhance mutual understanding and collaboration between India and the United Kingdom across various sectors.
