Bhubaneswar: After enduring sweltering temperatures, Odisha has finally received respite from the scorching heat as rain showers graced the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, along with several other parts of the state.
The refreshing rainfall, attributed to the Nor’wester phenomenon, has brought down the soaring temperatures across most parts of Odisha. Residents of the twin cities and numerous areas in the state were treated to showers accompanied by lightning, providing a much-needed reprieve from the intense heatwave.
According to officials from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Nor’wester rain is expected to become more active from May 5 onwards, further contributing to the alleviation of the prevailing heatwave conditions.
