Prime Minister Narendra Modi Unveils Development Blitz in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh

Jhabua:  In a significant move to propel development in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated a slew of projects worth approximately Rs 7300 crores to the nation today. These projects, aimed at benefiting the tribal population and bolstering various sectors, were inaugurated and their foundation stones laid in a grand ceremony.

The multifaceted development projects unveiled by the Prime Minister aim to address critical needs such as water supply, education, power, and road infrastructure, with a focus on uplifting the tribal communities in the region.

Key highlights of the projects include the distribution of monthly instalments of Aahar Anudan to around 2 lakh women beneficiaries from specially backward tribes, disbursal of 1.75 lakh adhikar abhilekh (record of rights) under the SVAMITVA Scheme, and the transfer of Rs 55.9 crores for 559 villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana.

Under the Aahar Anudan Yojna, Rs 1500 per month will be provided for nutritious food to women of various specially backward tribes in Madhya Pradesh, ensuring their well-being.

The SVAMITVA Scheme’s distribution of adhikar abhilekh (record of rights) aims to provide documentary evidence to individuals regarding their land ownership, empowering them with legal recognition of their property rights.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the ‘CM Rise School’ in Jhabua, incorporating modern facilities such as smart classes and e-library. Additionally, the foundation stone for Tantya Mama Bhil University was laid, focusing on providing education opportunities to the youth from tribal-dominated districts.

In a substantial move to enhance water supply, the Prime Minister inaugurated projects like the ‘Talavada Project,’ a drinking water supply scheme for over a thousand villages in Dhar & Ratlam, and 14 urban water supply schemes under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0. The ‘Nal Jal Yojna’ for 50 Gram Panchayats of Jhabua was also dedicated, aiming to provide tap water to about 11 thousand households.

The rail sector received a boost with the dedication of various projects, including the redevelopment of Ratlam and Meghnagar railway stations under the Amrit Bharat station scheme, and initiatives for doubling railway lines and constructing grade separators.

Moreover, road development projects worth over 3275 crores were dedicated, promising improved connectivity and economic development in the region.

The Prime Minister’s comprehensive approach to development, addressing diverse needs of the region, was met with enthusiasm and support from the people of Jhabua. The projects unveiled today reflect a commitment to the vision of Antyodaya, ensuring that the benefits of progress reach even the remotest corners of the nation.
