Prime Minister Narendra Modi Addresses NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers on Republic Day Eve
New Delhi: On the eve of the 75th Republic Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Cadets and National Service Scheme (NSS) Volunteers. Commending the cultural program depicting the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai, the Prime Minister announced their participation in the Republic Day Parade as a tribute to India’s history.
The special occasion, celebrating the 75th Republic Day and dedicated to Nari Shakti (Women’s Power) of India, witnessed women participants from across the nation showcasing the essence of their respective states, cultures, and traditions. Highlighting Rashtriya Balika Diwas, Prime Minister Modi praised the courage, determination, and achievements of India’s daughters.
Acknowledging the Bharat Ratna conferred on Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for the younger generation to be aware of this eminent personality’s contributions to society. Karpoori Thakur’s journey from extreme poverty to becoming Chief Minister exemplifies his dedication to social justice and uplifting the deprived sections.
Addressing the youth as the “Amrit Generation,” Prime Minister Modi underscored the present generation’s energy as the driving force for India’s progress in the Amrit Kaal. Expressing confidence in India’s commitment to becoming a developed nation by 2047, he encouraged the youth to stay disciplined and focused on their goals.
The Prime Minister urged the “Amrit Generation” to prioritize ‘Nation First’ and avoid despair. Emphasizing the importance of small contributions, he stated, “Yahi Samay hai Sahi Samay hai, Ye Aapka Samay Hai – This is the right time, this is your time.” Prime Minister Modi encouraged youth to strengthen their resolve for Viksit Bharat and expand their knowledge to provide new directions globally.
The Prime Minister detailed steps for creating opportunities for youth, including initiatives in the space sector, Ease of Doing Business, private sector development in defense, establishing the National Research Foundation, and modern educational facilities. He highlighted the importance of education in the mother tongue, research and innovation, and encouraged girl students to join the army.
Expressing delight in the volunteers’ energy, Prime Minister Modi stressed the importance of personality development, fitness, and discipline. He announced the creation of ‘My Yuva Bharat’ and urged youth to register as ‘My Bharat’ Volunteers.
As Republic Day celebrations unfold, the Prime Minister invited youth to participate in various programs, visit historical places, and engage with experts. He encouraged them to record and share their experiences, staying connected through the NaMo App.
In conclusion, Prime Minister Modi blessed the youth, urging them to study hard, be conscientious citizens, protect the environment, and take pride in India’s heritage and culture.
Union Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh, Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur, and Union Ministers of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda were present on the occasion.
