Prime Minister Modi Lays Foundation Stone for Petrochemicals Complex and Inaugurates Jan Aushadhi Kendras
Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant day by laying the foundation stone for the petrochemicals complex of Petronet LNG at Dahej and dedicating 50 Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras to the nation in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the lakhs of people connected to the event from over 200 different places. He highlighted the ongoing development projects across the country, emphasizing their role in the creation of a developed India, referred to as Viksit Bharat.
The foundation stone of the petrochemicals complex of Petronet LNG, a project worth over Rs 20,000 crores, was laid by Prime Minister Modi. He highlighted the potential impact on hydrogen production and the demand for polypropylene in the country. Emphasizing the importance of these inaugurations for the youth of India, the Prime Minister stated that they ensure a bright future for the nation.
The Petrochemicals complex of Petronet LNG, including Ethane and Propane handling facilities, is set to be established at Dahej, Gujarat. The strategic proximity to the existing LNG regasification terminal is expected to result in significant cost savings in both capital expenditure and operating costs.
In addition to the petrochemical project, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Jan Aushadhi Kendras at railway stations across various parts of the country. These Kendras will provide affordable and quality generic medicines to the public, aiming to enhance the welfare of passengers. The strategically located Jan Aushadhi Kendras at railway stations will benefit both incoming and outgoing passengers, generating employment opportunities.
