Bathinda: President Droupadi Murmu graced the convocation ceremony of the Central University of Punjab in Bathinda today, inspiring students to pursue knowledge, uphold morality, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Addressing the gathering, the President remarked that a convocation is a milestone—marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another in students’ lives. She expressed confidence that graduates would bring pride to their university, families, and the nation through their conduct and contributions.
President Murmu advised students to integrate five key values into their lives—curiosity, originality, morality, farsightedness, and spontaneity. She emphasized that curiosity fuels lifelong learning, originality sets individuals apart, and morality forms the foundation of a meaningful life. She urged students to prioritize long-term impact over short-term gains, stressing that authenticity, consistency, and staying connected to one’s roots are vital qualities for personal and professional success.
The President also praised the diverse representation at the Central University of Punjab, noting that students and faculty from across India enrich its learning environment. She highlighted how such institutions embody the nation’s vibrant culture and play a crucial role in fostering unity and inclusivity.
