President Droupadi Murmu Felicitates Young Achievers with Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar

New Delhi:  The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, bestowed the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar upon 19 exceptional children at a ceremony held in New Delhi today. The awards were presented across various categories, including Bravery, Science & Technology, Innovation, Social Service, Sports, and Art and Culture.

Expressing her views on the occasion, President Murmu emphasized the significance of the award ceremony in recognizing and encouraging the extraordinary potential and talent of young achievers. The ceremony not only acknowledges the outstanding contributions of these children but also serves as a platform to celebrate their achievements.

President Murmu commended the versatility of talents displayed by Indian children, highlighting their immense potential to carve out their own identities through dedication and hard work. She stressed the importance of guiding them in the right direction to harness their talents and energy effectively.

Addressing the invaluable resource that India possesses in its youth, President Murmu underscored the role of the youth in contributing to the progress of not only India but the entire world. She urged for efforts to equip the youth with technological skills, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, enabling them to navigate the rapidly changing world.

While acknowledging the tech-savvy nature of today’s children, President Murmu also cautioned against the misuse of technology, citing instances of crimes such as deep fakes, financial fraud, and exploitation of children. She advised children to remain vigilant and avoid engaging in wrongdoing, emphasizing the potential risks to their future.

President Murmu expressed concern over the decreasing physical activities among the younger generation, leading to an increase in diseases. Encouraging youth to engage in at least one sport, she highlighted the physical and mental health benefits of sports and the development of team spirit.

Concluding her address, President Murmu emphasized the pivotal role children and youth play as leaders of the future. She highlighted the duty to impart awareness of Indian culture and life values along with providing modern education. Referring to the recent consecration of the idol of Prabhu Shri Ram in Ayodhya, she urged everyone to adopt the ideals of Lord Ram and the values described in the Ramayana in their lives.
