PM Modi Inaugurates Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya

Varanasi: The long-anticipated airport in Ayodhya, named Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, marking a significant leap in the city’s infrastructural development.

Designed by Sthapati and constructed at a cost of Rs 1450 crores, the Ayodhya Airport stands as a testament to architectural excellence, promising not only community development but also cultural enrichment. Going beyond its physical dimensions, the airport holds a prestigious GRIHA 4-Star Certification, highlighting India’s dedication to sustainable practices and inaugurating a new era in environmentally conscious aviation.

Strategically positioned, the Ayodhya Airport aims to ease travel for devotees and tourists, especially complementing the upcoming Ayodhya Ram Temple. This strategic location ensures a seamless travel experience for visitors keen on exploring the rich history of this historic city.

The Ayodhya Airport, with a two-storeyed structure, boasts elevational elements depicting the sacred city’s heritage on the ground floor. Passengers are welcomed with expansive amenities, while airport operations are efficiently managed from the first floor. With a peak-hour capacity of over 750 passengers and facilitating four aircraft movements per hour, the Ayodhya Airport is poised to accommodate the continuous growth expected in aviation traffic.
