
Apulia, Italy: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister H.E. Rishi Sunak of the United Kingdom on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Apulia, Italy. Prime Minister Sunak congratulated PM Modi on his historic third consecutive term in office. The leaders expressed mutual satisfaction with the progress in implementing the Roadmap 2030, highlighting advancements in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This partnership encompasses regular high-level political consultations, defence and security cooperation, trade and economic collaboration, critical and high technology sectors, and people-to-people ties.
Both leaders noted the positive developments in the ongoing Free Trade Agreement negotiations between India and the UK, expressing optimism about its future prospects.
