Physical classes for Standard 1-7 starts in Odisha after 2 years

Bhubaneswar: After a gap of two years, schools across Odisha opened its door for physical classes for the students of  standard 1-7 today.

Decorated with flowers, rangoli, balloons, schools across the state opened its gates for their students. Teachers welcomed students with flowers and sandalwood paste. 

The classes will be held from 9 am to 1 pm. As per the instruction by School and Mass Education Department, dry ration under the Midday Meal (MDM) program will be supplied to the eligible students.

The first week will be utilised in interacting and engaging the students with several activities  planned by the concerned authorities.

State School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Sunday informed that the physical classes for students of Class 1 to 7 will resume in the state from February 28.

“As the students have been away from schools for the past two years, so several activities have been planned to refresh their mind. The special programme will done for one week after which the teaching process will start,” said Dash.

“There will be interactive sessions and students will be asked to write how they spent their time during this period and other activities,” he said.
