Pandian Reviews developmental work in Progress in Sundargarh
Bhubaneswar: In adherence to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s directives, Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha, Kartik Pandian, undertook a comprehensive visit to Sundargarh District to assess the status of various developmental initiatives and engage with students on 29th January.
Participating in the Nua-O Program at the Sports Hostel Complex, Bhawanipur, Kartik Pandian took the opportunity to interact with students from all colleges in Sundargarh. The discussion centered around the Nua-O program, providing a platform for youth to showcase their talents and fostering overall personality development alongside academic achievements.
Encouraging the students, Pandian stressed the importance of hard work and self-confidence for achieving success in life. He announced that the college transformation projects in the district are on track for completion by February.
He then proceeded to review the progress of Infrastructure for Sports and Schools (ISS) at Bhasma on river Ib (Rs 262.5 Crs) and ISS at Fulbari on river Sapei (Rs 123.75 Crs), both sanctioned based on public petitions received during his visit to Sundargarh in March of the previous year.
The Chairman also assessed the advancement of Mega Lift Irrigation Projects at Semina, Riughat, Khairidihi, and Satara, amounting to Rs 232 Crores. Additionally, he monitored the ongoing development of major temples like the Vedvyas temple at Rourkela, Shiv Temple at Ghoghar, and Shiv Temple at Belsara.
He ensured a close examination of the progress of the long-pending Railway Over Bridge at Rajgangpur, costing Rs 48.11 Crs, a project initiated 10 years ago. Prompted by the local community’s appeal during his previous visit, he prioritized the acceleration of this crucial infrastructure project.
The Chairman also scrutinized the status of various Mega Public Water Supply (PWS) and other development projects in the district. He directed officials to ensure timely completion based on the set timelines. Many of these projects were initiated following Sh Pandian’s last visit to Sundargarh District in March 2023, where he actively participated in grievance meetings and gathered feedback from the public.
