
Bhubaneswar: In a significant political development, renowned Ollywood actor Varsha Priyadarshini officially joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday. The induction ceremony took place at the BJD headquarters, Sankha Bhawan, where Rajya Sabha MP Sasmit Patra welcomed her into the party.
Varsha Priyadarshini, known for her notable contributions to the Odia film industry, has also been actively engaged in various social initiatives through her NGO, Sammanita.
Expressing her reasons for joining the BJD, Varsha cited her admiration for the “clean” leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as a key factor. Her decision to align with the ruling party underscores her commitment to contribute to the development and welfare of Odisha under the leadership of Chief Minister Patnaik.
