Odisha to Release First Merit List for Plus II Admissions on July 20

Bhubaneswar: The School & Mass Education Department of Odisha has announced that the first merit list for Plus II course admissions will be released on July 20, 2024. The selection process is being conducted through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal, as stated in an official press release.

For the 2024-25 academic session, a total of 4,76,074 students have applied for the 5,48,313 available seats in higher secondary education. These students will be enrolled in Class XI across various streams, including Arts, Science, Commerce, Vocational, and Upashastri.

The online application process concluded on July 12. Candidates selected in the first merit list can download their Intimation Letters from the SAMS Odisha website. Additionally, notifications regarding assigned higher secondary institutions will be sent via WhatsApp or SMS.

Admissions will take place at the respective institutions from July 22 to July 27, 2024. Candidates who wish to move to a higher preference institution can submit a “slide-up request” from July 22 to July 30, 2024, through their Student Login ID. These requests will be processed based on seat availability after the first round of admissions.

Classes for the new academic year are scheduled to commence on August 1. All higher secondary schools in Odisha have been provided with detailed guidelines for the admission process through SAMS.
