
Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast indicating a significant rise in daytime temperatures across Odisha over the next four to five days. The maximum temperature in most districts of the state is expected to increase by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius during this period, according to the IMD’s weather bulletin.
The IMD further stated that dry weather conditions are likely to prevail throughout the state until at least March 17. In addition to the daytime heat, the minimum or night temperature is expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius across the state in the coming days.
On Friday, Malkangiri recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 36.3°C, followed closely by Jharsuguda and Boudh, which both recorded 36.2°C.
