Bhubaneswar: In a major boost to industrial development, Odisha has secured ₹6,117 crore in fresh investments, reinforcing its status as a premier investment hub. The 135th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, IAS, approved 19 major projects across 10 high-impact sectors, generating 17,286 job opportunities.
The investment approvals follow the successful Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave, which strengthened investor confidence in the state’s business-friendly policies. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha has rapidly emerged as a key industrial destination, focusing on fast-tracking approvals and fostering economic expansion.
Investments Across Key Sectors
The newly approved projects span 11 districts, including Bolangir, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Khordha, Kandhamal, Rayagada, and Sambalpur, ensuring balanced industrial growth across the state.
1. Biofuel & Green Energy:
- Transpacific Engineering Pvt. Ltd. to invest ₹900 crore in a Biocoal plant in Sambalpur, creating 630 jobs.
- Sai Sudha Motors Pvt. Ltd. to establish a ₹68.58 crore Solar Module Manufacturing Unit in Khordha, providing 350 jobs.
2. Infrastructure & Technology:
- Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. to develop a ₹868 crore High-Speed Diesel & Petrol pipeline across Rayagada, Bolangir, and Kalahandi, generating 168 jobs.
- Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd. to invest ₹306.50 crore in a Data Centre in Khordha, creating 90 jobs.
3. Biotechnology & Chemicals:
- Sapigen Biologix Pvt. Ltd. to set up a ₹854.32 crore Vaccine Manufacturing Unit at Odisha Biotech Park, Khordha, creating 850 jobs.
- ARCL Organics Ltd. to establish a ₹500 crore Specialty Chemicals unit in Jagatsinghpur, providing 725 jobs.
- RCC Laboratories India Pvt. Ltd. to invest ₹55.36 crore in a Preclinical Testing & Animal Breeding facility in Khordha, generating 134 jobs.
4. Steel & Aluminium:
- Nezone Steels Utkal LLP to set up a ₹470 crore Colour Coating Sheet Manufacturing unit in Jajpur, creating 340 jobs.
- CMR Aluminium Pvt. Ltd. to establish a ₹234.14 crore Liquid Aluminium Alloy Plant in Sambalpur, generating 200 jobs.
- Corewire Surface Technology Pvt. Ltd. to invest ₹50.10 crore in a Steel Rolls Manufacturing & Rebuilding unit in Jajpur, providing 85 jobs.
5. Shipbuilding & Repairing:
- Chowgule Lavgan Shiprepair Pvt. Ltd. to establish a ₹550 crore Shipbuilding & Repairing Yard in Jagatsinghpur, generating 1,000 jobs.
6. Food Processing:
- Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. to expand its ₹515.32 crore Food Processing unit in Khordha, creating 441 jobs.
- Geofast Industries (India) Ltd. to invest ₹108 crore in a Ready-to-Drink Beverages & Personal Care Products unit in Khordha, generating 400 jobs.
7. Textile & Apparel:
- Shri Mahavir Ferro Alloys Pvt. Ltd. to establish a ₹115 crore Fabric & Garment Manufacturing unit in Cuttack, creating 10,000 jobs.
- Iron Triangle Ltd. to set up a ₹113.50 crore Towels & Ethnic Wear Production unit in Balangir, generating 1,150 jobs.
8. Plastics:
- Sanyam Tie Up Pvt. Ltd. to develop a ₹107.50 crore Surface Protection Films & Tarpaulin Manufacturing facility in Jharsuguda, creating 175 jobs.
9. Tourism & Hospitality:
- Ashirbad Engineering & Construction Pvt. Ltd. to invest ₹139 crore in a 5-Star Hotel in Khordha, generating 254 jobs.
- Somolo Eco Resorts Pvt. Ltd. to establish a ₹110 crore Luxury Eco-Resort in Ganjam, creating 219 jobs.
- Tavasya Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. to develop a ₹52.20 crore Eco-Resort in Kandhamal, providing 250 jobs.
