Odisha Onboards 50,000 Employees to i-GOT Platform Under Mission Karmayogi

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has made significant strides in implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary “From Karmachari to Karmayogi” initiative by onboarding around 50,000 employees and nearly all state government departments onto the i-GOT (Integrated Government Online Training) platform by November 2024. This effort underscores the state’s commitment to fostering a skilled, accountable, and citizen-centric workforce.

The i-GOT platform offers a personalized digital learning framework that covers functional, domain-specific, and behavioral competencies. Through this initiative, Odisha aims to create a robust learning ecosystem to enhance public service delivery and ensure citizen satisfaction.

The progress of i-GOT activities in Odisha was reviewed today at Lok Seva Bhawan by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, alongside senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Surendra Kumar, Director General of Gopabandhu Academy of Administration G. Mathivathnan, and Executive Director of the Centre for Modernizing Governance Initiative (CMGI) Satya Rath.

Following the signing of an MoU on October 23, 2024, between the Government of Odisha, the Capacity Building Commission, and Karmayogi Bharat, the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, designated as the nodal agency for Mission Karmayogi, organized workshops for nodal officers across departments. These workshops provided step-by-step guidance for smooth onboarding, facilitated by officials from Karmayogi Bharat.

The onboarding process is ongoing, and it is expected that all four lakh government employees in Odisha will be registered on the platform within the next few days. To support this initiative, help desks have been established by the Centre for Good Governance, Odisha (CGGO), at Lok Seva Bhawan and Kharavela Bhawan to assist with data validation and registration issues.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress, Chief Secretary Ahuja emphasized the importance of mandatory training for every government official. “This capacity-building process will significantly enhance service delivery and government efficiency,” he stated. He also noted that the number of training modules completed by officials would be reviewed periodically at the Chief Secretary level to ensure sustained progress.
