Odisha Launches CSR & Sustainability Conclave 2025 to Drive Inclusive, Technology-Led Growth

Bhubaneswar: The two-day CSR & Sustainability Conclave 2025 began today at the Odisha State Convention Centre, inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo. The event, designed to highlight CSR-funded innovations and strengthen cross-sectoral collaboration, is being organised by the Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC) under the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India in association with the Department of Energy, Government of Odisha. This year’s theme focuses on “Driving Inclusive Growth through Technology, Energy & CSR Convergence.”

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Singh Deo said Odisha is at a transformative moment in the energy sector and is steadily moving toward a more inclusive and sustainable growth model. He emphasised that CSR-led innovations will play a crucial role in delivering solutions that are affordable, adaptable and rooted in India’s real-world needs.

Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, addressing the gathering, noted that the conclave aims to catalyse social change by fostering meaningful partnerships and strengthening monitoring systems for social impact programmes through technology-driven approaches.

The inaugural session was further enriched by the presence of Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Mizoram, Pi Lalrinpuii; Minister of State, Government of Maharashtra, Meghna S. Bordikar; MD, BIRAC, Dr. Jitendra Kumar; and Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Government of Odisha, Vishal Kumar Dev. BCKIC Chairman Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar delivered the welcome address, while CEO Dr. Namrata Misra proposed the vote of thanks.

The conclave brought together corporates, NGOs, government officials, policymakers, and social entrepreneurs to deliberate on the role of technology in advancing inclusive development, rural transformation and sustainable growth. The sessions through the day covered a wide range of themes including enabling ecosystems for technology-led inclusion, scalable tech innovations, industry leadership for green growth, and emerging technologies shaping a sustainable future.

Adding to the momentum, an exhibition featuring 50 curated innovations showcasing futuristic concepts was inaugurated by the Deputy Chief Minister and other dignitaries. The conclave will continue tomorrow with more deliberations, interactive panels and collaboration opportunities aimed at accelerating Odisha’s journey toward socially impactful and technology-driven development.
