Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to host the next edition of its flagship agricultural conclave, Odisha Krushi Mahakumbh – Krushi Odisha 2026, from January 22 to 24 at the Biju Patnaik Sports Ground in Baramunda here. The mega event, jointly promoted by the state government and the Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department, is expected to be larger and more comprehensive than last year’s edition.
This year’s theme, “Building Resilience through Inclusive Agriculture,” underscores the state’s focus on strengthening the farming sector by promoting sustainable, participatory and technology-driven agricultural practices. The three-day event will bring together farmers from across Odisha, agricultural scientists, researchers, policymakers and agri-industry experts on a common platform to exchange knowledge and experiences.
Krushi Odisha 2026 aims to further empower farmers through agri-education camps, live demonstrations of modern and advanced agricultural machinery, and the dissemination of innovative farming techniques, tools and skills. Displays and hands-on sessions will focus on improving productivity, resilience and income generation in the agriculture sector.
Ahead of the event, a preparatory meeting was held at Lok Seva Bhawan on Friday to review arrangements and coordination. Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee briefed Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, on the progress of preparations and key components of the upcoming conclave.
