New Delhi: Odisha Government held a successful Ambassadors’ Meet today at ITC Maurya, Chanakyapuri, marking a significant milestone in the lead-up to the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025. The event showcased Odisha’s vibrant industrial ecosystem and presented new investment opportunities to a global audience.
Attendees included Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Consul-Generals, Trade Commissioners, and senior diplomats from 34 countries, representing nations such as Indonesia, Norway, Singapore, China, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, the USA, Thailand, Vietnam, and the UK. Additionally, nine foreign associations participated, reflecting growing international interest in Odisha’s potential for investment.
In his keynote address, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi warmly welcomed the diplomats, emphasizing Odisha’s rich cultural heritage, strategic location, and natural resources. “Odisha has transformed into a leading investment destination, thanks to our skilled workforce, abundant resources, and progressive policies,” said Majhi. He invited attendees to the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, scheduled for January 28-29 in Bhubaneswar, as a platform for global collaboration and economic growth.
The event featured an interactive session where ambassadors and diplomats engaged in discussions about investment opportunities in Odisha, underscoring the state’s commitment to fostering international partnerships.
Sampad Chandra Swain, Minister of Industries and Skill Development & Technical Education, expressed his gratitude to all participants, highlighting Odisha’s vast investment potential across industries like technology, tourism, and innovation. He assured the ambassadors of the government’s commitment to creating a favorable business environment.
Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary of Odisha, also addressed the audience, emphasizing Odisha’s rapid emergence as a global investment destination under CM Majhi’s leadership. Ahuja spoke about the state’s strong infrastructure and progressive policies, inviting global partners to explore investment opportunities across various sectors.
The event included the release of a promotional video showcasing the Make in Odisha 2025 initiative, further highlighting the state’s potential. Principal Secretary of Industries Shri Hemant Sharma presented key investment sectors, while Jyoti Vij, Director General of FICCI, and A. Ajay Kumar, Joint Secretary (States) at the Ministry of External Affairs, reinforced the importance of collaboration and central government support for Odisha’s development.
With the Ambassadors’ Meet setting the stage, Odisha is poised to attract significant global investments at the upcoming Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025. The Government of Odisha looks forward to welcoming international partners for collaboration and economic growth in January.
