
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has undertaken a significant reshuffling of administrative personnel, transferring several officers from the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS), Odisha Revenue Service (ORS), and Odisha Municipal Administrative Service (OMAS) to new positions.
As per a notification from the Housing and Urban Development Department, 11 OAS officers, 17 ORS officers, and 2 OMAS officers have been reassigned to enhance administrative efficiency across various departments and districts.
Prominent among the transfers is Alok Kumar Pradhan, the current Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Keonjhar, who has been appointed as Joint Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Padma Charan Sahu, formerly Deputy Collector of Khurda, has been transferred to serve as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Sports and Youth Services. Kishore Kumar Panda, previously Additional Deputy Collector of Anandapur in Keonjhar, has been posted as Khurda Deputy Collector. In addition to this role, he will also take on the responsibility of Deputy Administrative Officer for the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) in Puri.
Among the ORS officers, several key appointments have been made. Pradat Kumar Sahoo has been designated as the Executive Officer (EO) of Kamakhyanagar Notified Area Council (NAC), Rajib Lochan Behera will now serve as the EO of Hindol NAC, and Hemant Kumar Singh has been appointed as the EO of Jaleswar Municipality.
This restructuring is aimed at optimizing the administrative framework in Odisha, ensuring smoother governance and better service delivery. The newly posted officers are expected to bring their expertise to their respective roles and contribute to the development goals of the state.
