Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government sanctioned 283 projects at a cost of Rs. 10.47 Crores in Angul district and 408 projects at a cost of Rs. 12.59 Crores in Sambalpur district. The revolutionary decision to address public grievances promptly showcases the commitment of the government towards the welfare and development of the people.
The sanction orders for these projects were swiftly communicated to the concerned petitioners through their mobile phones, ensuring transparency and real-time information dissemination.
This was announced during Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha, Kartik Pandian’s virtual interaction with the residents of Angul and Sambalpur Districts as directed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The interactive session took place at various locations, including Badapadia in Kishorenagar, Barasahi Field in Chhendipada (Angul district), Rengali High School Field, Jamadarpalli Field, and Subash Maidan at Hirakud (Sambalpur district).
He highlighted the significant strides taken by the government in response to the petitions and feedback received since his visit to Angul and Sambalpur Districts in July last year. Projects worth Rs. 886 Crores have been initiated based on the needs and concerns expressed by the citizens.
During the interaction, Pandian shared the pivotal decisions taken by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Notable among them is the increase in social security pensions across all categories by Rs. 500, benefiting approximately 58 Lakhs beneficiaries.
Additionally, the financial assistance under the MAMATA Yojana has been doubled from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10,000, aiming to enhance the well-being of women and infants, ensuring improved nutrition and better health outcomes.
Pandian also assured that Mission Shakti groups would now be eligible for loans up to Rs. 10 Lakhs with zero interest, facilitating their economic empowerment. Furthermore, encouraging news regarding remuneration hikes for ASHA workers and Mission Shakti Community Cadres is expected to be announced soon.
The government’s proactive approach in addressing public grievances and swiftly implementing projects reflects its unwavering commitment to inclusive development and the well-being of the citizens of Odisha.
