Bhubaneswar: In a significant move aimed at supporting the well-being of women employees, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed an increase in the number of additional casual leave (CL) days available to women working in the state government from 10 days to 12 days annually.
These 12 days of additional CL can be availed in conjunction with the existing 10 days of regular casual leave and 5 days of special CL. Women employees can utilize one additional CL day per month, specifically granted to accommodate their menstruation period.
This progressive step acknowledges the health and personal needs of women in the workplace, enhancing the support previously available when the additional CL was limited to 10 days.
