Chief Minister's Grievance Cell Closed on July 29 Due to Vidhan Sabha Session
Bhubaneswar: In a significant administrative move, the Odisha government has announced the dissolution of all Special Development Councils (SDCs) across the state. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved the decision to disband all 23 councils, effectively ending their operations.
The SDCs were originally established by the Naveen Patnaik-led government with the goal of promoting tribal culture, tradition, heritage, and unique identities in the state’s nine tribal-dominated districts. These councils were created to support the development and preservation of tribal communities and their distinct cultural practices.
