Odisha FC Women Gears Up for Indian Women’s League 2024-25 Season

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha FC Women’s Team, reigning champions of the Indian Women’s League (IWL), is set to begin their campaign in the third edition of the league on January 10, 2025.

The upcoming 2024-25 season introduces a revamped two-tier format, with the top tier comprising eight teams competing in a home-and-away format. This includes the top six teams from the previous IWL season, along with newly promoted Sreebhumi FC and Odisha’s Nita FA, the champions and runners-up of IWL-2, respectively.

The eight teams set to compete in the 2025 IWL are Odisha FC, East Bengal FC, Sethu FC, Sreebhumi FC, Nita FA, Kickstart FC, Gokulam Kerala, and HOPS FC. Odisha FC has chosen Bhubaneswar as their home venue, continuing their dedication to nurturing high-quality football in the region.

Odisha FC, known for their strong performances and commitment to women’s football, aims to defend their title while contributing to the league’s growing stature. The IWL’s revamped structure reflects the increasing importance of women’s football in India, providing a competitive platform for talent across the country.
