The game witnessed early drama as Vishnu from East Bengal FC found the net in the first minute, but Odisha FC fought back with goals from Diego in the 40th minute and Princeton in the 61st minute.
The opening minute saw Vishnu showcasing skillful dribbling, navigating past three Odisha players, and scoring from inside the box, giving East Bengal FC an early lead. However, Odisha FC displayed resilience and determination throughout the match.
In the 38th minute, Odisha FC was awarded a penalty after Rakip fouled Mauricio in the box. Mauricio confidently converted from the spot in the 40th minute, leveling the score at 1-1. The first half was marked by intense action and four yellow cards for East Bengal FC players.
