Bhubaneswar: In a responsive move to public demand, the Odisha State Government has decided to extend the deadline for online registration of applications for the BSKY Nabin Card.
Bhubaneswar: Responding to the health needs of rural communities, the Odisha government has once again prolonged the application submission window for the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Nabin card in the state.
The new deadline for the registration of applications for the BSKY Nabin card has been extended to February 8, according to an announcement by the Health department today.
The decision to extend the deadline reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that every deserving rural individual can access quality healthcare under the BSKY scheme, stated the department.
Shalini Pandit, Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare department, issued instructions in this regard, emphasizing the importance of leaving no deserving person in rural areas behind in the provision of healthcare services.
In addition to the deadline extension, Pandit directed officials to enhance awareness programs at the village and panchayat levels to ensure broader participation in the registration process for the BSKY Nabin card.
The registration process for the BSKY Nabin card commenced on January 6 and was initially scheduled to conclude on January 16. However, considering the significance of the program and to facilitate wider participation, the state government had previously extended the deadline to January 26. Now, with this additional extension, the government aims to maximize the outreach of this healthcare initiative.
