
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced that the state government will waive the ground rent for all Durga Puja pandals across Odisha. The decision is aimed at encouraging puja committees, pandal members, and devotees, easing the financial burden on those organizing the celebrations.
The Chief Minister took to social media to extend his festive greetings to the people of Odisha, stating, “Wishing the people of the state on the occasion of Durga Puja. On this occasion, the People’s Government has decided to waive the government rent for all Durga Puja pandals in Odisha. I am hopeful that this decision will encourage the members of the puja committees.”
As part of the festivities, CM Majhi visited various puja pandals in Bhubaneswar today, offering prayers to Goddess Durga and interacting with devotees and visitors. His gesture was met with widespread appreciation, as it reflected the government’s commitment to supporting cultural and religious traditions during the festive season.
