Bhubaneswar: In a historic move, Odisha Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mohan Majhi unveiled the state’s first budget for the financial year 2024-25, presenting a robust total outlay of Rs 2,65,000 crore in the Odisha Assembly on Thursday. This budget marks a notable 15% increase from the previous year’s estimate of Rs 2,30,000 crore for 2023-24.
The proposed budget aims to drive growth and development across various sectors, emphasizing inclusive and sustainable development. The increased allocation is poised to significantly enhance infrastructure development, social welfare programs, and economic growth in the state.
