Odisha CM Ensures Immediate Medical Aid for 12-Year-Old Boy During Public Grievance Hearing

Bhubaneswar: In a swift and compassionate move, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ensured immediate medical assistance for a 12-year-old boy suffering from a rare disease during the public grievance hearing at his official residence today.

The patient, Alok Kalse from Saintala in Balangir district, was accompanied by his parents, who sought the CM’s intervention for his treatment. Moved by their plea, Majhi directed officials to provide the best possible medical care and immediately arranged for the boy to be transferred to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar by ambulance.

“My son is unable to walk or sit, and despite numerous efforts, his condition did not improve. We approached the CM Grievance Cell in Bhubaneswar for help, and the Chief Minister promptly arranged for his treatment,” said Alok’s father, expressing gratitude for the quick response.

During the grievance hearing, Majhi emphasized the importance of resolving public complaints swiftly, instructing officials to take immediate action on petitions and ensure justice for citizens.

“Heard grievances from people across the state today at the CM’s Grievance Cell. Resolving public issues is the top priority of the people’s government. Concerned officials have been directed to take necessary steps for quick resolutions,” the CM wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Since the revival of the CM Grievance Hearing—which had been discontinued since 2008—8,031 petitions have been received, out of which 6,545 cases have been successfully resolved.
