Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Inaugurates 4th National Chilika Birds Festival

Bhubaneswar: In a celebration of avian diversity and natural beauty, the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, inaugurated the much-anticipated 4th Edition of the National Chilika Birds Festival at Lok Seva Bhawan today. The festival promises a captivating exploration of the rich birdlife around the picturesque Chilika Lake.

Dignitaries including Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri Aswini Patra, ACS Tourism Shri Surendra Kumar, Chairman OTDC Dr Lenin Mohanty, Director Nandankanan Shri Manoj Nair, and Director Tourism Shri Sachin R Jadhav graced the occasion, adding to the grandeur of the inaugural ceremony.

A highlight of the festival was the inauguration of a captivating photo exhibition titled “Through The Lens” by Tourism Minister Shri Aswini Patra. The exhibition, hosted at Lok Seva Bhawan, features a stunning visual journey into the mesmerizing world of birds captured by celebrated photographers. This unique showcase aims to provide attendees with an up-close encounter with the diverse avian wonders that call Chilika Lake home.

The inaugural ceremony also witnessed the release of the “State of India’s Birds Report,” adding an insightful dimension to the festival.
