Odisha Chief Minister Inaugurates Developmental Projects Worth Over Rs 4,300 Crore in Ganjam District

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a slew of developmental projects in Ganjam district, demonstrating the state’s commitment to holistic progress. The Chief Minister marked the occasion by unveiling key initiatives and laying the foundation stones for various transformative projects.

In the Hinjili-Sheragada region, Patnaik inaugurated seven projects with a total investment of Rs 181.78 crore and laid the foundation stone for eight additional projects, amounting to Rs 136.78 crore. He later visited Sitalapalli, where 24 projects worth Rs 639.81 crore were inaugurated, and the foundation stone was laid for 54 projects valued at Rs 2,994 crore.

Addressing the gathering in Sheragada, the Chief Minister acknowledged the region’s significant contributions and lauded the support that led to Hinjili-Sheragada being recognized as the best block in the country. Patnaik highlighted the achievements of the 5T initiative, emphasizing that the transformation campaign began in Hinjili-Sheragada, initiating impactful developments such as the Maa Taratarini Peeth and high school transformations.

Expressing happiness at the completed high school transformation work and its replication across the state, Patnaik thanked the community for their role in making Hinjili-Sheragada an exemplary constituency. He declared Sheragada Gram Panchayat as NAC, seeking cooperation to elevate the development of Hinjili-Sheragada to new heights.

In Sitalapalli, the Chief Minister announced the launch of irrigation and drinking water projects worth over Rs 5,000 crore, providing significant infrastructure support to Ganjam district. Foundation stones were laid for the green fuel project by ACME and Avada at Gopalpur Industrial Park, along with the IDCO utility corridor at Gopalpur. Patnaik envisioned these projects creating employment opportunities and fostering industrial development in the region.

Highlighting Odisha’s achievements, the Chief Minister mentioned the state’s second position in the country in terms of investment, its significant contribution to the public distribution system, and the establishment of major IT companies. He credited the success to initiatives like the 5T program, Srimandir Parikrama project, SAMALEI project, and the transformation of Maa Taratarini Peeth.

As a testament to Odisha’s progress, Patnaik informed the audience about the state’s reputation in sports, disaster management, and healthcare through Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana. The Chief Minister emphasized the state’s commitment to supporting farmers, women, and youth through interest-free loans, scholarships, and innovative schemes.

Concluding his address, Patnaik expressed gratitude for the collective effort in creating Odisha’s unique identity. He called for continued cooperation to propel Odisha to new heights of development in the coming days.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly constructed 2000-bed SUM Superspeciality Hospital at Sitalapalli, highlighting its potential to enhance medical facilities for the people. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for the 1.10 MMTPA Green Ammonia Plant by ACME at Gopalpur, with an investment of Rs 27,000 crore, and the Avada Green Hydrogen Project, amounting to Rs 8,000 crore. These projects are anticipated to generate employment opportunities for approximately 5200 youth.

Accompanied by V Kartik Pandian, the Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, the Chief Minister actively participated in all events, interacting with the people to discuss the various projects underway.
