
Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the Odisha Cabinet has decided to withdraw its earlier resolution regarding the proposed amendment to the Odisha Scheduled Areas Transfer of Immovable Property (By Scheduled Tribes) Regulation, 1956. The decision to withdraw the amendment proposal was confirmed by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department during the Cabinet meeting on Monday.
The State Cabinet had initially approved the amendment proposal during its session on November 14, 2023. However, following a reevaluation, the Cabinet has opted to reverse its decision on the amendment to the Odisha Scheduled Areas Transfer of Immovable Property Regulation, 1956 (Odisha Regulation 2 of 1956).
