
Bhubaneswar: The four-laning of 174.5 km long Biju Expressway connecting western and southern parts of Odisha has been approved in the state cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The Biju Expressway project would cost about Rs 448.02 crore.
Informing about the project, Chief Secretary SC Mahapatra said a total of six small bridges and six large bridges will be constructed on the 104.65-km-long stretch of Biju Expressway from Ghatipada to Sinapalli in Nuapada district.
Similarly, 11 small bridges and two large bridges will be constructed on the remaining 69.85-km-long stretch of the expressway from Sinaplli to Ambapani via Dharmagarh of Kalahandi district.
