Odisha Budget 2025-26: Rs. 800 Crore Allocated for Tourism Development

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has allocated Rs. 800 crore for tourism development in the Annual Budget 2025-26, focusing on infrastructure enhancement, cultural heritage promotion, and eco-tourism initiatives.

Key Budgetary Allocations for Tourism:

  • Development and Management of Tourist Accommodation: Rs. 359 crore to improve hospitality infrastructure.
  • Tourist Information and Publicity: Rs. 332 crore for promoting Odisha as a global tourism destination.
  • Baristha Nagarika Tirtha Yatra Yojana: Rs. 22 crore for pilgrimage support to senior citizens.
  • Maa Tarini Complex Development (Ghatagaon): Rs. 50 crore for improving religious tourism facilities.
