Bhubaneswar: Gokulananda Mallick, Minister of Fisheries & Animal Resources Development and MSME, inaugurated the newly constructed Conference Hall at the Veterinary Officers’ Training Institute in Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar, today. The modern facility is designed to enhance training and capacity building in the animal resources development sector.
Equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, including LED screens, a digital podium, and comfortable seating for up to 100 participants, the Conference Hall is poised to facilitate simultaneous training programs on various topics, accommodating different groups of participants. Minister Mallick emphasized that this facility will significantly contribute to the professional development of veterinary officers, para-veterinarians, ministerial staff, and entrepreneurs in the sector.
In his address, Minister Mallick reiterated the State Government’s commitment to the welfare of livestock farmers through innovative schemes. He highlighted the recent approval of the Mukhyamantri Kamdhenu Yojana by the State Cabinet, which aims to boost dairy development and uplift approximately 15 lakh livestock farmers across Odisha.
“The Conference Hall will enhance our training infrastructure, fostering skill development and capacity building among stakeholders,” Minister Mallick stated, underscoring the importance of providing effective resources for training in the animal resources sector.
Suresh Kumar Vashishth, Principal Secretary of the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department, noted that the new hall will allow for an increased number of training programs and will also serve the department’s needs for conducting review meetings and other events.
