Netaji Birthplace Museum’s Light and Sound Show Set to Revive After Nine Years
Cuttack: The Netaji Birthplace Museum at Odia Bazaar, which has seen its light and sound show closed for nearly nine years, is now gearing up for a revival.
Initially launched on January 23, 2013, to commemorate Netaji’s 116th birth anniversary, the 30-minute show provided visitors with a glimpse into Netaji’s childhood days in Cuttack. However, technical issues led to the show’s discontinuation after just one year.
Despite three tender attempts over the past nine years to repair the light and sound show system, no organization has shown interest in taking on the task. The museum management has recently floated another tender, and an organization has now been finalized to undertake the repairing work, according to JP Ray, the curator-in-charge of Netaji Birthplace Museum.
This development has sparked anticipation among visitors and locals, who look forward to once again experiencing the immersive and informative journey through Netaji’s formative years in Cuttack. The revival of the light and sound show is expected to enhance the overall museum experience for patrons.
