National Arogya Fair Concludes in Delhi with Emphasis on Holistic Health and Wellness

New Delhi: The National Arogya Fair, a four-day extravaganza held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, concluded today, with Minister of State for AYUSH and Women and Child Development, Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, presiding over the closing ceremony as the chief guest.

Organized with the primary objective of showcasing the benefits and principles of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy, the event aimed to create awareness and encourage the adoption of holistic health and wellness practices. It provided a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among practitioners, experts, and enthusiasts while offering space for businesses and vendors to promote products and services related to Ayush systems.

Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, in his address, emphasized the significance of the National Arogya Fair in bringing together diverse stakeholders to explore various aspects of Ayush. He acknowledged the presence of individuals from different backgrounds, including the scientific community, innovators, start-ups, buyers, and sellers, contributing to the success of the event. The minister highlighted the value-added by panel discussions covering different aspects of Ayush and expressed confidence that participants gained valuable insights during the fair.

Reflecting on the last decade, Dr. Mahendrabhai highlighted the government’s commitment to holistic health in public healthcare delivery. He mentioned the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Ayush and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in addressing modern-day health problems through integrative health solutions.

The National Arogya Fair, organized by Shri Puran Chandra Gupta Smarak Trust with the support of the Ministry of Ayush, took place from February 1 to February 4, 2024. The event witnessed a dynamic convergence of India’s rich healing traditions, covering Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. It served as a vibrant platform to celebrate and showcase the nation’s diverse culture and historical legacy in healthcare.

Key highlights of the event included wellness workshops, seminars, exhibitions on Ayurveda, Yoga, Yunani, Siddha, Naturopathy, and Homeopathy, free health consultations, and cultural programs. The National Arogya Fair exemplified a commitment to traditional systems of medicine, emphasizing holistic well-being and promoting a healthier lifestyle.
