National Anti-Doping Agency of India Partners with PEFI and HLM Group for Crucial Seminar on Anti-Doping & Nutrition

New Delhi:  In a significant move towards promoting clean sports and optimizing athlete performance, the National Anti-Doping Agency of India (NADA India) joined forces with the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) and HLM Group of Institutions to host a one-day National Level Seminar on Anti-Doping & Nutrition.

The seminar, held with the aim of educating and arming students and staff with the necessary knowledge and tools to combat doping while emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition, attracted a distinguished lineup of guests. Sh. Ashish Bhargava, Director General & CEO of National Anti-Doping Agency, India, took center stage as the Chief Guest, while Dr. A.K Bansal, a Dronacharya Awardee and accomplished Hockey Coach, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Bhavtosh Shankhdhar, Chief Medical Officer at Government District Hospital (MMG), Ghaziabad, also added his expertise to the event by delivering a keynote address.

The seminar, held at [Location], witnessed a gathering of over 300 participants from diverse backgrounds, including physical education students, nursing students, and athlete support personnel. Sh. Jay Singh, Assistant Project Officer at NADA India, and Ms. Aparna Tandon Jain, a Registered Dietician and FOSTAC Food Safety Trainer specializing in Health Supplements & Nutraceuticals, played pivotal roles in addressing the attendees. They shared their expert insights on clean sports and nutrition, underlining the crucial role of proper nourishment in achieving optimal athletic performance.

The focus of the seminar was on providing authentic information about anti-doping measures, fostering a greater understanding of nutrition’s role in sports, and creating awareness among the future generation involved in various facets of athletics.

Sh. Ashish Bhargava, in his address, highlighted the significance of such initiatives in safeguarding the integrity of sports. By imparting knowledge on anti-doping practices and the importance of nutrition, NADA India aims to contribute to the country’s sporting excellence and nurture a generation of athletes committed to fair play and clean competition.
