
New Delhi: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) today organized a National Workshop on “Powering Transformation through UI/UX for Digital Governance” at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. The workshop aimed to set guidelines for improving user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) for government websites, portals, and applications.
As the digital landscape rapidly evolves, user expectations for seamless and intuitive interactions with applications have risen. This workshop brought together stakeholders from government, industry, design, and development to discuss best practices and address challenges in establishing effective UX/UI for public-facing digital services.
A key highlight of the workshop was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of External Affairs, MeitY, and Common Service Centres (CSCs), marking a significant step towards collaborative efforts in enhancing digital governance.
The event also celebrated exemplary leadership and dedication in crafting intuitive and visually appealing UX/UI in product design.
The workshop was chaired by Amit Agarwal, CEO, UIDAI, and DG, NIC. Various panel discussions were conducted, featuring leaders from both industry and government sectors.
Industry giants such as Google, Microsoft, Map My India, SBI, ZOHO, and Samsung showcased their advancements in UX/UI through dedicated stalls, offering participants a hands-on experience of cutting-edge solutions.
The workshop concluded with a resounding commitment from all participants to enhance UI/UX on government websites and applications. The collaborative effort aims to ensure that digital governance in India remains user-centric, intuitive, and accessible for all citizens.
