Highlighting the role of Khadi in India’s struggle for independence, Shri Kumar pointed out that, under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi, Khadi became a powerful tool against British rule. Today, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is dedicated to restoring Khadi to its former glory, and the business of Khadi and village industry products has witnessed remarkable growth in the last nine years.
