KABIL Signs MoU with CSIR-NGRI to Boost Geophysical Investigations

New Delhi: In a significant move aimed at enhancing its endeavors in critical and strategic minerals, Khanij Bidesh India Limited (KABIL) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – National Geophysical Research Institute (CSIR-NGRI). The MoU sets the stage for a collaborative partnership between the two entities to leverage geophysical investigations for KABIL’s ongoing projects.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at the NALCO Corporate Office in Bhubaneswar, where Sadashiv Samantaray, Director (Commercial) of NALCO and CEO of KABIL, along with Dr. Prakash Kumar, Director of CSIR-NGRI, formalized the agreement. The event was graced by the presence of Shri Sridhar Patra, CMD of NALCO and Chairman of KABIL.

This strategic collaboration will focus on a range of activities, including Geophysical, Geochemical, and Geological surveys, along with data analysis, interpretation, and modeling. Additionally, the partnership will facilitate scientific knowledge sharing, technical support, and advisory services, aimed at driving innovation and actionable insights for KABIL’s projects.

Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Patra highlighted the significance of this collaboration in advancing KABIL’s initiatives. As a Joint Venture company comprising National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), and Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL), KABIL operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. This collaboration with CSIR-NGRI underscores KABIL’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge research and expertise to further its objectives in the realm of critical and strategic minerals.
