
Jaipur: Jos Buttler showcased a masterclass in batting, smashing a sensational century to guide Rajasthan Royals to a nail-biting 2-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in their IPL 2024 encounter.
In a high-octane clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Buttler played a breathtaking innings, remaining unbeaten on 107 runs as he steered his team to victory on the final ball of the match. His knock was laced with power-packed strokes and impeccable timing, leaving the KKR bowlers helpless.
Varun Chakaravarthy, Sunil Narine, and Harshit Rana contributed with two wickets each for KKR, while Vaibhav Rana scalped one. However, their efforts proved insufficient in stopping Buttler’s onslaught.
Earlier in the match, it was Sunil Narine who stole the show for KKR with a his maiden T20 century. Narine’s blitzkrieg knock of 109 runs propelled his team to a formidable total of 223/6. Angrish Raghuvanshi played a supporting role with 30 runs to his name.
For Rajasthan Royals, Avesh Khan and Kuldeep Sen picked up two wickets each, but their bowling effort couldn’t contain Narine’s onslaught.
