
Bhubaneswar: IPS officer Jagmohan Meena has officially taken charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Bhubaneswar, succeeding Pinak Mishra. A 2013-batch officer, Meena emphasized his commitment to ensuring law and order while prioritizing citizen-centric policing.
Speaking at a press conference after assuming office, Meena highlighted the importance of swift investigations and immediate action against offenders. He assured that the police would remain sensitive to public concerns and work towards a safer and more secure environment in the capital city.
Outlining his priorities, the new DCP stressed the need for enhanced CCTV surveillance, strengthening the cybercrime unit to counter online fraud, and improving traffic management to ease congestion. He also emphasized leveraging advanced technology to improve crime detection and prevention.
