
St. Petersburg, Russia: The Indian Navy’s frontline frigate, INS Tabar, arrived in St. Petersburg on July 25 for a four-day visit to participate in the 328th Russian Navy Day Parade celebrations. This visit aimed to strengthen the warm bilateral relations and maritime cooperation between India and Russia, and to explore new avenues for bolstering the relationship between the two countries.
During its stay in St. Petersburg, INS Tabar joined the celebrations and engaged in various ceremonial activities. The visit culminated with a significant Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX) with the Russian Navy Ship Soobrazitelny on July 30. This exercise marked a milestone in the maritime cooperation between India and Russia, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining peace, stability, and security in the region.
The MPX involved a series of complex naval maneuvers, including communication drills, Search & Rescue tactics, and Replenishment at Sea serials. Ships from both navies demonstrated high levels of professionalism and interoperability, showcasing their ability to operate seamlessly together.
The participation of INS Tabar in the 328th Russian Navy Day Parade and the successful conduct of the MPX highlights the longstanding friendship and collaboration between the Indian and Russian navies. It reinforces the resolve and commitment of both nations towards enhanced cooperation in the maritime domain.
