India’s Vice President Advocates for Global Peace and Cooperation at IN-STEP Inauguration

New Delhi:  At the inauguration of the International Strategic Engagement Programme (IN-STEP), Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar emphasized India’s pivotal role in fostering global peace, harmony, and order. The event, held at the Upa-Rashtrapati Niwas, witnessed the participation of international delegates from 21 countries alongside Indian officers, all convened under the auspices of the National Defence College.

Shri Dhankhar’s remarks resonated with a powerful conviction in India’s rising stature on the world stage. Dispelling notions of India as a mere potential or a dormant giant, the Vice President asserted that India’s ascent is inexorable and underpinned by visionary leadership, inclusive development, and steadfast perseverance.

“India’s extraordinary growth story transcends skeptics,” the vice-president remarked, “exemplifying visionary leadership, inclusive development, and unwavering perseverance.”

Central to his address was the assertion that India’s burgeoning economy, effective diplomacy, and expanding soft power make it a beacon of hope in today’s dynamic geopolitical landscape. He underscored the importance of India’s role in catalyzing an affirmative ecosystem for global peace and stability.

The Vice President also stressed the indispensability of global peace and security for sustained growth, advocating for a position of strength as the most effective safeguard. He highlighted the interconnectedness of conflicts, noting their potential to disrupt global economies and supply chains, thereby necessitating a diplomatic resolution.

“Isolation approach is now a matter of the past,” Dhankhar emphasized, emphasizing the need for meaningful dialogue and engagement among nations in turbulent times.

The IN-STEP program, according to the Vice President, symbolizes a shared commitment to mutual dialogue and collaboration, serving as the foundation for effective policymaking and conflict resolution. With participants spanning from the Indian Armed Forces, Paramilitary, Foreign Services, to representatives from 21 foreign countries, the program promises to enrich perspectives and foster international cooperation.

Rajit Punhani, Secretary of the Rajya Sabha, and Lt. Gen. SS Dahiya, Commandant of the National Defence College, graced the occasion alongside the enthusiastic participants of the IN-STEP program.

As India continues its march towards greater prominence on the world stage, the Vice President’s address at the IN-STEP inauguration reaffirms the country’s unwavering commitment to global peace, stability, and cooperation.
